Step 1: Initial Consultation

Step 2: Property Evaluation

Once you've decided to proceed with the attorney's representation, they will evaluate your property's legal status. This includes verifying ownership, reviewing any existing contracts, and identifying potential legal issues.

Step 3: Contract Preparation and Review

Your attorney will prepare the necessary legal documents for the home sale, including the sales contract. Before finalization, they will carefully review all documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with local laws.

Massachusetts is an attorney state.  The attorneys handle escrow and when the listing real estate offices do not hold escrow - the listing seller's attorney will hold escrow until the close.

There is a one-time fee for real estate attorneys to complete the Purchase and Sale and close on the sale of house.  The fees range from $700 - $1500 - depending on house and any title issues.
